TAB project opening conference
Towards cleaner air quality in Central Europe

The opening conference of the TAB project “Towards cleaner air quality in Central Europe – TAB project” will be held on March 28th, 2012, at the GIG Institute in Katowice (Główny Instytut Górnictwa, Main Building, Plac Gwarkow 1).

The conference is structured in an opening session with an introduction to the project and to the European legislation on air quality followed by three thematic sessions reviewing the main issues from the national, regional and local points of view. Participants from the Polish Ministry of Environment and qualified delegates from the other partner countries will take part in the meeting providing a clear picture of the current situation and of the main perspectives that will be discussed in the final round table. 

TAB project, co-financed Central Europe Programme, focuses on sharing common experiences and analysing data on air quality in the partners’ cities and regions in order to formulate pilot plans proposals for mitigating air pollution impacts on human health. The Katowice conference is the first opportunity of presenting and discussing programmes and actions that will be developed in the framework of the project with the full involvment of the main stakeholders of the project cities and regions.
